Child ASIN
One Child ASIN (Child-Amazon Standard Identification Number) is a unique identification number that is used by Amazon to identify a specific variant of a product within a so-called parent-child relationship to label.
A parent listing (parent ASIN) can have multiple child ASINs that have different product variants such as Color, size, package content, or other characteristics represent. The child ASINs are therefore sub-units of a main product and allow customers to select different options without having to search through multiple separate product pages.
example:
A T-shirt (parent ASIN) can be offered in various colors and sizes, with each variant (e.g. “blue, size M”) having its own child ASIN.

Child ASIN benefits:
- Better overview for customers through summarized product variants.
- Joint reviews and sales rankings that strengthen the main product.
- Increased chances of winning the buy box, as variants are offered in a centralized manner.
Companies use the parent-child structure to optimize their product offerings and improve the user experience on Amazon.
