Individual products for special moments

With Amazon Custom, you have the option to offer customers customizable products. Your customers can personalize, configure, or design products the way they want — all with Amazon Custom features.

Explore Amazon Custom

Amazon Custom is an area on Amazon.com that customers can access to customize their products with text, images, or logos — or choose from a list of options you've provided. These customizable products are displayed both in our shop and in your specific department.

Customization options available

Amazon Custom supports the following three types of customization: text, image, and product configuration. If you can process orders using these customization types, sign up today and start selling custom products on Amazon.

  1. text adjustment: With text customization, customers can add text to your products using the color and font options you set in Seller Central. This option can be used for engraving, embroidery, printing, painting, and more.
  2. image adjustment: Image customization allows customers to customize their product by uploading their own image. The customer can also add text to be shown on the image.
  3. product configuration: The product configuration, or “list of options,” allows you to create a range of drop-down options via Seller Central that customers can use to build their own product. This feature also allows you to charge an additional fee for selected customization options.

That's how it works

Step 1: Sign up to participate: Sign up to enable Amazon Custom features for your Professional Sellers account. If you're an individual seller, you'll need to upgrade your account and become a professional seller before you can sign up for the feature.

Step 2: Activate Your Offers: Once your account is registered for Amazon Custom, you'll have access to activate your product listings for customization.

Step 3: Set up your offer: Use our listing tool in Seller Central to set up your customization options

Step 4: Start selling: With your customizable products, you can reach hundreds of millions of Amazon customers.

Registration and approval process

After you apply for Amazon Custom, you'll receive approval via email, usually within 1 hour. This email includes links to assistance and gives you access to the Amazon Custom program. If your application is not accepted, you will receive a notification after the application has been submitted.

Professional Sellers Requirements

To use Amazon Custom, it is necessary that you have a Professional Seller are. If you're currently an Individual Seller, you'll need to upgrade your account and become a Professional Seller before you can sign up for the Amazon Custom program.

Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is not available

Since customizable products require special adjustments, all orders must be fulfilled by you as a seller. FBA is currently not available for customizable products.

Listing in various categories

You have the option to list customizable products in any category for which you are authorized as a seller. However, please note that customizable products may not currently be offered in media categories and may not be used for personal computers, laptops, computer towers, tablets, or video game consoles. Costs and fees

The latest Amazon Custom features are free to use. However, it is possible that fees may apply when new features are introduced. Amazon's usual monthly subscription fees and selling fees still apply when you use Amazon Custom.

Discoverability for customers

Customizable products are treated like other offers on Amazon, so discoverability is no different. Although there is a special storefront for customizable products, you can also use Sponsored Products to increase the visibility of your products.

Personalization for companies

With Amazon Custom's image customization feature, companies can design and personalize products with their own logo. This provides a great opportunity to offer products to business customers.
